About The Position

The Avionics Technician at Embraer is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on avionics and electrical systems in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. This role involves troubleshooting, testing, and installing various avionics components, ensuring the operational integrity of aircraft systems, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• 5 years of actual and recent depot level aircraft avionics experience.
• Current A&P or FAA Repairman Certificate (Avionics).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in interpreting avionic/electrical wiring diagrams and wire identification.
• Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures.

Nice To Haves

• FCC License
• Prior experience in an executive jet repair facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or special maintenance inspections to prevent failure of aircraft electrical and avionic systems and components.
• Conduct operational and functional checks on navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and install or modify avionic and electrical systems.
• Determine when components should be repaired or replaced and secure necessary parts.
• Follow approved maintenance procedures and consult technical data and work package instructions.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and perform necessary rework.
• Perform serviceability tests on repaired components and systems using specified test equipment.
• Complete work package documentation after finishing designated operations.
• Install digital avionic equipment and interpret wiring diagrams and harness fabrication.
• Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components using hand tools and soldering iron.
• Set up and operate ground support and test equipment for functional flight tests.
