About The Position

The Avionics Sales Manager drives revenue for avionics hardware, software, and installation services by developing sales strategies, building customer relationships with airlines and MROs, managing the sales pipeline using CRM systems, and collaborating with technical teams to create custom proposals. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, attending industry events, and overseeing complex sales processes from lead generation to contract closure.

Requirements

  • B.A. in Business Administration or Marketing or technical equivalent.
  • 3+ years avionics sales experience or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of avionics hardware, software, installation, and MRO processes.
  • Proven ability to lead sales teams, manage complex sales cycles, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Expertise in using CRM platforms and other aviation-specific databases to manage sales activities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in turbine, turbo prop and piston aircraft avionics related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets and expand market share for avionics products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and MRO providers.
  • Identify new business opportunities by conducting market research and engaging potential customers through direct calls, emails, and networking at trade shows and conferences.
  • Coordinate and support sales efforts with customers, Regional Sales Managers, Scheduling, Department Managers, and appropriate operations personnel.
  • Work closely with cross functional departments to understand technical requirements and develop accurate quotes and proposals.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and forecast revenue accurately.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management team on sales performance, market trends, and competitive insights.
