About The Position

The Avionics Product Support Specialist at Collins Aerospace serves as the primary point of contact for customer issues related to the performance of fielded avionics equipment. This role involves addressing and resolving customer problems, ensuring timely support and maintenance for assigned products, and leveraging aviation knowledge to provide effective solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of avionics systems and the ability to engage with customers to meet their needs efficiently.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree in an Aviation related field and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
  • Experience supporting or repairing avionics equipment.
  • Experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, electronics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Collins Aerospace avionics products and systems.
  • Experience providing direct product support to airlines, airframe manufacturers, corporate & business jet owners/operators.
  • Experience using MS Suite, SAP & Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Support Collins Aerospace avionics products and systems, including Flight Management Systems, Navigation, Communication, Autopilot, Cabin Management, Sensors, and Fire Protection.
  • Plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.
  • Understand and apply aviation principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Solve systems/technical problems at various levels of scope and complexity, requiring data and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and address customers' actual needs and requirements expediently.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer support requests utilizing established procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide corrective actions and resolutions to customer queries.
  • Develop solutions to diverse problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Provide effective and timely problem-solving support for assigned systems/products to ensure high customer satisfaction and reliability.
  • May require working unusual hours for AOG (aircraft on ground) situations.
