About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit. As part of a hardworking team of engineering professionals, you will design, analyze, and test avionics enclosures for electronic components on various spacecrafts. This opportunity reports to the Spacecraft Avionics section inside of the In-Space Systems business unit. As part of a growing, hardworking, and curious team of design engineers, you'll be deployed to programs that shape the future of Blue Origin. As an Avionics Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer, you own the design of avionics enclosure solutions for harsh environments to ensure high reliability of flight and mission-critical systems. Working in cross-disciplinary teams within a dynamic design environment, you will collaborate with electrical engineers to design PCB systems, support electronics development, conduct trade studies, and create the associated technical data packages. Your responsibilities include performing thermal and structural analyses, validating requirements through various methods, creating engineering detail and assembly drawings, and managing product configuration through its lifecycle. You will also support test planning and execution. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
