About The Position

Duties: Minimum of two years of progressive experience in complex military electrical and/or electronic systems such as aircraft power distribution systems, microprocessor-based systems, real-time networks, computer graphics, and analog and digital electronics. Experience will include design, development, and integration of complex military electrical and/or electronic systems, and experience in overseeing design and development of hardware projects strong avionics software knowledge highly desired The Contractor will have knowledge of electrical engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods, sustainment, modeling/simulation, Test and Evaluation (T&E), and Airworthiness (AW) certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. The Contractor will provide advice and assistance with systems engineering processes, including planning, analysis, design, configuration management, development, integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk. The Contractor will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The Contractor will work with the design, development, and test teams in support of advanced software/hardware efforts. The Contractor will: 1) provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems; 2) perform in all phases of hardware development, integration/implementation, and analysis; 3) participate in hardware evaluations; and 4) develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed. The Contractor will develop technical requirements based on operational scenarios, across all phases of system development (including concept exploration, design, integration, test, and fielding) for highly complex systems/subsystems including the generation of Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) or the modification of such criteria in the Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC). The Contractor will participate in hardware evaluations and assist the Government in developing standards and guidelines for tasks being performed. The Contractor will support engineering tasks such as, but not limited to investigations and analysis, trade- off studies, quality evaluations, deficiency reports, and depot assistance requests. The Contractor will participate in events such as, but not limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), First Article Tests (FATs), and Configuration Change Boards for Airworthiness (CCB/AW).

Requirements

  • The Contractor will have knowledge of electrical engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods, sustainment, modeling/simulation, Test and Evaluation (T&E), and Airworthiness (AW) certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
  • The Contractor will provide advice and assistance with systems engineering processes, including planning, analysis, design, configuration management, development, integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk.
  • The Contractor will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • The Contractor will work with the design, development, and test teams in support of advanced software/hardware efforts.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • OR, bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • Must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a major in engineering from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) for the degree requirements of the position (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace). Degrees in engineering technology are not considered to be qualifying for these positions
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
