The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts. The Bell MV-75 team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world’s next-generation military aircraft. Work location is Bell’s FRC facilities in Arlington, TX Avionics Software Team This Software Engineer is responsible for developing a set of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Software Applications related to the control of air vehicle components for the Avionics software on the FLRAA program.

Requirements

  • We are hiring at multiple levels of experience, with a minimum of 2+ years experience in developing embedded software, including hardware and software integration required. Aviation experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience.
  • Requires C or C++ experience in a Linux development environment
  • Requires familiarity with software DevOps processes.
  • Requires experience with Git version control system or change management systems.
  • Ability to gain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
  • Demonstrated Communication Skills needed to brief management, customers, and/or large groups on an occasional basis.

  • Aviation experience is preferred.

  • Development of air vehicle IMA Software Applications
  • Development of High level and Low Level Requirements
  • SysML modeling of software design
  • Perform Configuration Management for developed software
