Spirit is looking for Aviation Warehouse Associates to be the support that navigates logistical movements of materials by the Spirit Technical Operations team. As an Aviation Warehouse Associate, you will be a driving partner in maintaining accurate stock levels to guarantee materials are available to avoid service disruptions and to help ensure Guests make it to their destination reliably and safely.   • Preparing dangerous goods declaration for outbound shipment and review shipment checklists.
  • Responding to station dangerous goods inquiries and identifying and handling hazardous materials.
  • Pulling parts and tools for transfer orders or picklists for maintenance line support. Pulling, packing, and shipping materials and tools for transfer via COMAT or third-party shipping.
  • Receiving and stocking materials and tools, performing Daily Material Cycle counts, and maintaining product inventory in workstations.
  • Assisting in management of inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzing daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems & shortages and communicating with Materials team members via email correspondence or generated reports to meet business goals.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and regular warehouse & stockrooms housekeeping.
  • Adhering to safety precautions when operating a forklift or hand pallet jack.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
  • High School or GED certification.
  • Must be 18 Years or Older.
  • Must have a valid Non-Restricted Driver's License.
  • Must have the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and extended hours, as required.
  • Proficient with computers, basic knowledge of word editing software, inventory sheets and email management.
  • Warehouse Operations Knowledge, experienced with shipping, receiving and stocking practices.
  • Ability to multi-task with several assignments at the same time, deliver positive results, and shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable: able to produce accurate work and complete all assigned tasks.
  • Able to lift 50lbs and stand during extended period of time and able to endure temperature changes and outside work.
  • Must be present at the worksite 100% of time.
  • Ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
  • 2+ years in a warehouse environment.
  • Inventory background experience.
  • Aviation Materials Knowledge, familiar with parts numbers, descriptions and handling.
  • Hazardous Materials Shipping and Handling, knowledge of HAZCOM and general shipping procedures.
  • Forklift driving experience.
