About the position

The Aviation Technician I position at Wencor Group LLC is a critical role within the Materials/Logistics Team, focusing on various essential functions such as Shipping, Work Order Receiving, Purchase Order Receiving Inspection, and Inventory Control. This position requires adherence to the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual, ensuring that all tasks are performed in compliance with industry standards. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can effectively work as part of a team while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. In the Shipping domain, the technician will be responsible for packaging completed units according to ATA 300 standards and shipping them via carriers like FedEx, UPS, and DHL, both domestically and internationally. Monitoring inventory levels of shipping supplies is also a key responsibility, necessitating timely communication with purchasing departments to maintain customer support. The Work Order Receiving aspect involves inspecting incoming customer orders for damage and accuracy, generating work orders in the ERP system, and ensuring proper documentation is maintained. For Purchase Order Receiving, the technician will inspect products used in aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with the Repair Station Manual and maintaining accurate records of certifications and serviceable tags. Inventory Control duties include pulling parts from inventory based on job tickets, returning unused parts, and conducting cycle counts and yearly inventory assessments. The role may also involve other duties as assigned, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Packaging completed units in accordance with ATA 300 and shipping via FedEx, UPS, DHL, or other methods back to customers.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of shipping supplies and communicating needs to purchasing.
  • Inspecting incoming customer orders for damage and accuracy, and segregating discrepancies appropriately.
  • Generating work orders in the ERP system by accurately transcribing customer instructions and shipping information.
  • Inspecting incoming products for acceptability as directed in the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual.
  • Maintaining files with copies of all documents received with incoming products, including certifications and serviceable tags.
  • Pulling parts from inventory based on job tickets and distributing them to technicians.
  • Returning unused parts into inventory and conducting cycle counts of inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years' equivalent work experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ERP systems for work order generation and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with aviation industry standards and regulations.
