Parsons is now hiring an experienced Airport Technical Consultant to support the Domestic Terminal Redevelopment Programs. Essential job duties for role include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • 8+ years combined professional experience in project management within an airport setting.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Experience with all financial aspects of airport capital improvement program including funding, financing, project accounting, budgeting, general and administrative costs, gateway management, financial analysis, and data integrity and accuracy.
  • Extensive experience in contract management and lease negotiations with construction related contractors, airlines, rental car companies and concessionaires.
  • Extensive experience with issuance of revenue bonds and other interim debt instruments and financing tools.
  • Ensures the timely award and renewal of contractual services.
  • Develops, interprets, reviews, and recommends new or improved local government and/or departmental procurement policies and procedures to ensure economy and efficiency of operation.
  • Researches, writes, and evaluates complex bid proposals, contracts, and specifications for the procurement of complex construction, concessions, materials, professional services, and services.
  • Confers with local government engineering, operations, maintenance, and other technical personnel to develop detailed and technical specifications.
  • Establishes priorities and standards for procurement projects and contracts.
  • Conducts pre-bid/pre-proposal meetings and explains and interprets specifications and standards to vendors, department, and local officials.
  • Ensures bid invitations are published and bid opening dates are advertised.
  • Interprets, evaluates, and reviews bids, contracts and proposals for content and conformance to specifications.
  • Reviews bids for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
