About The Position

The Aviation Site Acquisition Manager will be responsible for driving all aspects of site acquisition and development for Flock Safety’s aviation-related projects, known as DFR (Drone as a First Responder). This role requires strong real estate, regulatory, and power/utility coordination expertise to ensure projects move seamlessly from planning through execution. The ideal candidate will combine sharp negotiation skills with a deep understanding of zoning, permitting, and tower infrastructure processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in site acquisition, real estate development or zoning/permitting and utility coordination preferred
  • Proven track record in lease/real estate negotiations and working with municipalities and utility providers
  • Strong knowledge of zoning codes, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead real estate negotiations with property owners to secure access and maintenance rights for aviation-related sites
  • Execute utility and power coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective connections for aviation infrastructure
  • Oversee and complete all zoning and permitting processes at the local, state and federal levels to obtain the necessary approvals
  • Prepare, submit and track all tower company applications for radar installations
  • Manage engineering deliverables such as CAD, Structural Analysis, rooftop mapping, etc with internal and external partners ensuring timely completion
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, engineering, construction, compliance) to streamline acquisition workflows
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including tower companies, local governments, and utility providers
  • Manage due diligence, including site assessments, environmental reviews, and title verification
  • Provide regular project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership.
