Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence: Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including overseeing scheduling of employees, making hiring, terminations, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations. Serves as the Primary Airport Security Coordinator for John Glenn Columbus Airport (CMH) and Rickenbacker International (LCK) to ensure regulatory compliance for each respective Airport Security Program (ASP). Leads local security policy through the management and review of both ASPs, including permanent and temporary amendments, interpretation, negotiation, and implementation of TSA issued Security Directives and National Amendments. Reviews security violations and makes determinations on badge suspensions, revocations, or denials. Oversee the Airport Identification Office at each airport, including criminal history records checks, badge issuance, training, and regulatory and non-regulatory access control. Develops and implements a Security Management System (SeMS) to manage all physical security policies and practices for the Authority. Assists with developing emergency preparedness and response procedures and coordinates security and safety training, as it relates to the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and the Airport Security Program (ASP), for the airport and responding community agencies, including incident response training. Prepares and administers the budget, including tracking and monitoring and approval of purchased goods, services and staff travel. Reviews plans, specifications and bidding documents, operational, airfield and general aviation contracts. Participate in national industry committees and attend conferences. Leads projects and/or collaborates with other departments on project creation and implementation. Performs related work as required. Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet th e following requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management or a related field and minimum five (5) years of related aviation security experience, or equivalent of education and years of experience Previous supervisory experience required Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 1520, 1540, 1542, 1544 and 1546, as well as 14 CFR Part 139, Airport Certification and Security Practices The administration of airline and general aviation activities to include current threats and trends within the aviation security realm. Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) Certification, strongly preferred Ability to acquire a DHS/TSA Sponsored Classified level Security Clearance Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license, in good standing Salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $120,000.00. The offered salary is evaluated using internal equity, job knowledge, skills, and experience.
