About The Position

Develops, implements, and oversees various aviation security (AVSEC) strategic programs to safeguard UPS and facilitate global compliance with government regulations. Manages and executes compliant screening operations supported by people, processes, and technology. Develops and leverages strong relationships with government agencies, vendors, regulatory agencies, and industry associations (e.g., TSA, IATA) to help shape regulation and minimize impacts to UPS. Collaborates with regulatory agencies during visits and audits to observe and measure compliance and develop corrective action plans as needed. May provide project management, systems expertise, and analysis to support enterprise initiatives. Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field. May have responsibility for supervising others in the capacity of a “player coach” but primary focus is individual expertise.
