Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program
  • 8+ years of civil engineering experience, with 5+ years in aviation
  • Texas PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and manage project delivery
  • Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel across North Texas (typically day trips)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and deliver aviation projects from concept through construction – airfield design, pavement engineering, utilities, terminals, and more
  • Oversee production teams, quality assurance, and financial performance
  • Focus on innovative design and technical excellence
  • Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across North Texas
  • Handle construction administration, grant management, and multi-disciplinary coordination
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across the region
  • Support business development efforts to expand our Dallas presence
  • Contribute to proposal development and capture strategies
  • Represent RS&H at regional industry events
  • Mentor junior staff and build leadership skills
