Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 12 years of experience in civil engineering and design team management in the aviation sector.
  • 5 years of project management experience with Southern California airports.
  • P.E. License and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential.
  • Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and aviation design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design-phase and construction-phase services for airport projects.
  • Lead and mentor design teams, ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Serve as the client manager for key clients and maintain strong client relations.
  • Oversee interdisciplinary teams and guide project deliverables including plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Develop and review proposals, and participate in client presentations.
  • Manage construction services, including review of submittals and RFIs.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct training for personnel.
  • Coordinate projects with regulatory agencies and act as a liaison between clients and teams.
  • Lead the implementation of HDR's Health and Safety program on projects.
  • Instruct and mentor junior staff in their career development.
