About The Position

The Aviation Project Manager at San Antonio Aerospace is responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians and specialists in overseeing aircraft maintenance projects. This role emphasizes precision, efficiency, and safety while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. The Project Manager will manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college or trade school preferred.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification required.
• Five years of commercial maintenance experience.
• Two years of lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team of technicians and specialists in aircraft maintenance projects.
• Oversee maintenance personnel and manage task or inspection management of assigned Mechanics.
• Complete aircraft projects on time, on budget, and incident-free, maintaining quality standards.
• Lead the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring labor hours are reconciled with customers prior to aircraft re-delivery.
• Create detailed work plans that identify and sequence activities needed for project completion.
• Determine resources required for projects and develop schedules for effective resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Review project schedules with senior management and revise as required.
• Ensure all project personnel receive appropriate orientation and establish communication schedules for updates.
• Deploy maintenance staff with appropriate skills for project activities and manage them according to company policies.
• Direct work from all departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Assess qualifications of maintenance personnel to ensure they can perform assigned tasks.
