About The Position

The Aviation Maintenance Technician I (AMT I) will support large-scale aerial survey operations. This role involves interfacing with other AMTs, establishing best practices for aircraft and camera system maintenance, and performing signoffs for camera maintenance and installations in accordance with FAA regulations. The AMT I will be responsible for inspections, repairs, modifications, periodic maintenance, and service of aircraft within the limits of the employee's Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certificate with respect to Part 91 operations. The AMT I will work with a team of AMTs, or individually when necessary, to maintain a fleet of piston engine aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 operations. Responsibilities include performing tasks associated with annual inspections, routine periodic inspections, and maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and assessing discrepancies or safety concerns. The candidate will also be responsible for completing appropriate reports and documentation, removing and installing camera equipment, and maintaining hangar and facilities to meet or exceed all PFA, FAA, and OSHA requirements. This position requires a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate and entry-level to 3 years of experience. The work environment is primarily indoors, with a noise level that is usually moderately quiet. The position may require occasional travel to off-site facilities for maintenance on aircraft.
