The position involves working on EC145's at the base, performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned. The role ensures compliance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, and maintenance manuals. The mechanic is responsible for meeting operational goals and ensuring all maintenance documentation is executed correctly.

  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers match associated documentation upon installation or removal of any component or assembly.
  • Execute all aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and maintenance manuals.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Correct compliance or safety issues when directed by management.
  • Advise the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.
  • Validate or confirm data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on.
  • Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate inventory for prompt repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
  • Active/current A&P License required.
  • Experience with FAR 135 operations preferred.
  • Skills in electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Team player with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate vendor data.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to apply creativity and problem-solving skills in troubleshooting work.
  • RAMCO experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
