About The Position
Share your excitement of aviation with the next generation of aircraft mechanics! PIA's Hagerstown campus is hiring for a fulfilling Aviation Maintenance Instructor position that allows you to give back while enjoying great daytime hours and no weekend commitments! Teaching experience is a plus, but not required, as we will provide instructional training. The Aviation Maintenance Instructor is a Salary Exempt position. Schedule: Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Requirements
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification
- 3+ years of verifiable aviation industry or military aviation experience
- Familiarization with computers for using teaching software and email
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience is ideal, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom presentations
- Guide students in the laboratory for hands-on instruction and practice
- Manage laboratory equipment and inventory
- Evaluate student performance
