About The Position

As an Aviation Facilities & Infrastructure Principal Engineer – Civil, you will manage and coordinate airport systems with large-scale capital projects and long-term master planning to accommodate projected growth. You will coordinate, plan, and implement facility-wide systems at system level, serving as an advanced subject matter expert for civil infrastructure and systems. You will serve as the primary lead of critical regulatory systems and develop compliance and incident response. You will lead developing and defining the asset management program for civil assets. You will conduct annual inventory and verification for financial regulatory requirements and develop renewal and replacement programs for systems. You will develop requirements and perform project management responsibilities for expense planning studies and present information to executive leadership. You will lead the development of preventative maintenance programs for operations and maintenance of civil infrastructure and systems to maintain aviation operations and maximize life cycle of systems. You will develop, maintain, and govern civil design guidelines and standards for complex or critical facility and infrastructure. You will conduct the integration of new methods, systems, technologies, materials, programs, or processes including research of innovative or specialized solutions. You will strategically initiate and sponsor capital programs to support comprehensive infrastructure plan and implement design vision to provide critical input to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) required capital development plan. You will perform advisory and infrastructure system planning work and approve or deny variance requests to existing infrastructure. You will be the subject matter expert and key stakeholder involved in sustainable framework decision analysis and total cost of ownership decision analysis tools.

Requirements

  • Experienced – You have twelve (12) years of experience with infrastructure planning, design, integration, modeling, maintenance, construction, and/or project management related to facilities. A bachelor’s degree in engineering may be substituted for four (4) years of experience. You also have one (1) year of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process.
  • License – You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
