About The Position

The Aviation Director at NCDOT is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Division of Aviation. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive engineering experience, including four years of supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry and grant administration principles.
• Experience in organizing and directing professional level employees.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with government officials and private representatives.
• Knowledge of airport engineering and planning principles.
• Familiarity with federal and state policies related to funds administration.

• Registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.

Responsibilities
