You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on data architecture developments. In this role, you’ll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use tools like Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and aviation datasets. You’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with Databricks, PySpark, and AWS
  • Experience with aviation, geospatial, and weather datasets
  • Experience leading a team of five or more data engineers
  • Knowledge of the federal aviation safety infrastructure
  • Ability to lead complex data engineering efforts
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Experience with executive-level summaries and briefings
  • Knowledge of FAA operations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various product workstreams
  • Master's degree

  • The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
