About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a n Aviation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 to join our Tampa, FL office. YOUR ROLE Receive mentorship to assist experienced engineering staff in the design and production of engineering plans and specifications for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure. Contribute to various elements of airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction administration tasks for commercial service and general aviation airports. Periodically perform construction field observations at aviation project sites and attend weekly construction meetings. Assist with project quantity take-offs.
Requirements
- 0 – 2 years of internship experience
- Pursuing your Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct
