Position summary: Responsible for performing the engineering design for tasks or sub-tasks to support aviation clients by using advanced knowledge of general civil engineering principles. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation
  • Detailed Construction Costs Estimating
  • Technical Specification Writing
  • Proficient in MS Office Software
  • Proficient in discipline specific design software
  • Written and communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer License
  • 4-8 years' experience in civil engineering design or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Road/Highway Design Experience preferred
  • Experience working with other related disciplines (Structures/Drainage/Geotech)
  • Experience supporting/coordinating utility relocation designs

Responsibilities

  • Contract Document Development (Plans, Specifications, and Quantities/Estimates)
  • Project Meeting Coordination (Organize and Run Meetings)
  • Maintain current department organizational and quality control standards and update as and where necessary.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
  • Perform design computations
  • Coordinate with and/or manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
