About The Position

The position involves delivering training programs and courses to Marines and their staffs, providing instruction on Marine Corps Program of Record (POR) systems and operational tactics, and conducting hands-on training and assessments. The role requires reviewing lesson plans, instructor guides, and practical application exercises for accuracy, relevance, and compliance with TECOM instructional methodology. Additionally, the position includes coordinating with the academics officer and curriculum review boards to ensure training is synchronized with MAGTF-level aviation C2 doctrine. The instructor must ensure that instruction aligns with current fleet requirements and integrates various aviation C2 tools. The individual will serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for all aviation C2 systems taught within the course and will conduct and evaluate practical exercises that replicate real-world aviation C2 operations. Liaising with fleet units, program managers, and Marine Corps Aviation representatives is essential to ensure course content reflects current fielded systems. The position also involves providing input to manpower planning, billet requirements, and system acquisition efforts as they relate to aviation C2 training. Filling this position is contingent upon award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or formal DoD Training
  • Successful completion of a military or commercial basic instructor course such as Marine Corps Center for Learning and Faculty Development (CLFD) 'Facilitating Learning Experience Course' (FLEX), CLFD Designing Learning Experience Course (DLEX), Basic Instructor Course (BIC), a college certification course, or an equivalent alternative course
  • 10+ years of experience providing formal Period of Instructions (POIs) and supporting Aviation C2 training events
  • 5+ years of experience providing POI on Aviation C2 software, hardware, systems, and applications
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining POIs, lesson plans, instructor guides, and practical application exercises
  • In-depth understanding of air tasking orders, airspace control, joint operations integration, and MAGTF-level aviation C2 doctrine
  • Demonstrated experience with the following systems: CAC2S, TBMCS, GCCS, C2PC/JTCW, and MSS
  • Experience analyzing the effectiveness of training programs and operational plans
  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (ISD/SAT-E) methodologies
  • Understanding of Marine Corps Service Level Training Exercise Program (SLTE-P) standards and objectives
  • Demonstrated experience with O365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess a current DoD Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience supporting MAGTF Operations Center Training Team (MOCTT) and/or MAGTF Integrated Systems Training Centers (MISTCs)
  • Demonstrated experience creating and instructing POIs on the following systems: CAC2S, TBMCS, GCCS, C2PC/JTCW, and MSS
  • Possess a Microsoft Office Specialist Master certification
  • Active duty USMC experience with USMC Aviation C2 systems and equipment
  • Possess a current CompTIA Security+ certification
