About The Position

S&B is currently on the lookout for a proficient Aveva Administrator to bolster our team. With our ongoing Aveva implementation, this role holds pivotal importance in spearheading initial configuration, facilitating training, and providing continuous support. The Aveva Administrator will be responsible for nurturing and refining the Standard Delivery for Aveva Suite, alongside providing peripheral support for Hexagon Software, adhering to industry best practices and S&B's standardized work processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 7 years of related experience in the EPC / EPCM industry.
  • 7-12 years piping engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry required.
  • Knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of piping equipment design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize project delivery through its lifecycle, provide support for the set-up, configuration and training on Major Projects, Services or Improvement projects.
  • Aveva ERM Administration including creating catalogs, pipe specifications, administration of exports to Hexagon Software.
  • Aveva ERM material planning, requisitions, and other aspects.
  • Aveva ENG support, of data sheets, data asset registry, and exports.
  • Development of automation enhancements and/or custom requirements.
  • Provide training, support and assistance to projects and locations as requested.
  • Balance the focus of day to day, operational systems management with the requirement to foster future readiness and a climate for innovation.
  • Driving the centralization of service delivery through driving a consolidated and automated delivery process.
  • Moving the organization towards a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience with 3D layout and design in a complex, major projects environment including multi-office workshare.
  • Experience with Hexagon Software (SPID, S3D, SPI, SPEL).
  • Proficiency in a common CAD drafting or graphics tool (e.g. Aveva Draw, AutoCAD and MicroStation).
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems including Client Operating systems, Server configuration, Software installation and configurations.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction as well as home office and site planning requirements.
  • Deep understanding of project requirements, deliverables, and workflows.
  • Experience working in virtual teams supporting a global community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent training skills.
  • Support the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting piping plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
  • Review equipment vendor drawings; data interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines and designers.
  • Applies expert knowledge of commonly used piping concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the piping engineering services industry.
  • Quality review production drawings for a variety of projects and project-related data as required by the project managers to verify corrections are made within the relevant software.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients.
  • All other duties as assigned.
