Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire an AVE Mission Engineering Systems Engineering Manager 3 to be located in Roy, UT. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access.
  • Experience managing people preferred.
  • ICBM experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Trajectory Analysis or Operational Analysis.
  • Experience in Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, Processes, and Tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team through an EMD program in compliance with program requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience with high value customer presentations.
  • Experience in performing in an Agile environment and knowledge/understanding of JIRA.
  • Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations.
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience in both authoring and reviewing formal analysis documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers and senior leadership to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Guide all the Mission Engineering efforts across the AVE.
  • Oversee trajectory analysis, both in 3 and 6 degrees of freedom.
  • Develop 6DOF simulation and targeting program.
  • Conduct operational analysis in support of AVE mission objectives.
  • Provide leadership to all Mission Engineering efforts and ensure tasking is properly assigned and completed.
  • Report directly to the AVE SE&I MS&A leadership and interface with various IPTs.
