CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Audio Video (AV) / Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Infrastructure Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS. You will be responsible for performing actions in support of USAFRICOM’s AV/VTC ecosystem. Specifically: Support all equipment leveraged in the delivery of VTC services. This equipment will include route/switch devices, firewalls, UPS’s, encryption devices, etc. Ensure system availability outside of approved maintenance windows. Apply system and network hardening actions as directed. Perform remote and direct customer support for all VTC related issues. Perform preventative maintenance and work to detect faults before they escalate to user impacting events. Maintain software and firmware on VTC devices to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. Create and update user, and admin, facing standard operating procedure documentation for complex configurations and actions. Leverage SolarWinds and other monitoring tools to improve quality of service, identify faults, and restore VTC service outages. More About the Role The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
