As an AV Venue Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment in managed venue spaces, broadcast studios, and customer experience centers. This entry-level role works closely with Senior Technicians and System Engineers to provide dedicated support to our client’s in-house AV Operations team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ working knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including lighting, sound, video recording, and data projection.
  • Experience with technical challenges and problem-solving in an event production environment.
  • Knowledge of technical event support system architectures and troubleshooting.
  • Responsive, efficient, excellent customer interaction, and high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to motivate and focus cross-functional teams to reach challenging goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Eligible, willing, and able to work and travel when required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with internal ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with Mac, Linux, and Windows platforms.
  • Previous experience supporting executive-level events.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance of hardware and software for internal platforms.
  • Kick off meetings and events (Experience Center & Event Space) with AV/IT support.
  • Execute monthly preventative maintenance on all hardware.
  • Utilize remote access tools on Mac, Linux, and Windows systems to control internal platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate solutions.
  • Provide onsite support for visitors and executive-level events as needed.
  • Support event operation technicians with issues relating to event spaces prior to events.
  • Troubleshoot routing, wiring, and cabling issues.
  • Complete venue space pre-show equipment sweeps prior to events.
  • Organize, document, and maintain warehouse inventory, including spare equipment.
  • Track RMA of serviced equipment.
  • Document and track status of outgoing and returning service equipment; provide updates to the team.
  • Maintain periodic system updates and upgrades of equipment.
  • Act as stand-in support for large and special events.
  • Work with an internal ticketing system to document all issues.
  • Operate cross-functionally within the team to support audio, video conferencing, and projection.
  • Create and maintain team documentation as needed.
  • Track issues to isolate trends; coordinate with engineering teams and third-party vendors to resolve.
  • Train operations team on usage of systems and applications.
