The position involves performing upgrades and maintenance of network and AV infrastructure while anticipating and addressing potential system issues. The individual will serve as a primary point of contact between internal teams, external clients, and vendors to coordinate support and repairs. The role requires working primarily on a second-shift schedule with flexibility for weekends and event demands, and participation in on-call support rotations. The candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, and ensuring clear communication with both technical and non-technical users. Collaboration with team members to provide seamless, end-to-end technical support is essential, along with documenting all support activities in the help desk system. The role also includes installing, configuring, and maintaining AV systems and software, performing cable terminations, and demonstrating foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking and basic system communication protocols. Additionally, the candidate will support live events through various technical roles, attend rehearsals, and oversee technical run-throughs. Training and assisting internal technical staff on AV systems and best practices for event operation is also part of the job. Maintaining up-to-date inventories of hardware, software, and parts, as well as providing detailed post-event reports with documented issues and recommendations, are key responsibilities.
