What this job involves We are seeking an Audiovisual (AV) Technician to support our client site in Andover, MA. You'll be responsible for providing a variety of AV and videoconferencing (VTC) support ranging from desktop solutions to video walls, network services, and digital signage. Your role will include providing exceptional customer service, maintaining conference room integrity, and supporting executive-level events with the highest standards of technical excellence and support from our in-house team of skilled experts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • General understanding of basic AV terminology and components
  • Strong background with Microsoft Teams/MTR
  • Experience with Lync/Skype for Business
  • Familiarity with VTC Codecs (Polycom and Cisco), audio mixers, control systems, AV automation, amplifiers, microphones, projection systems, and video cameras
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Photography and videography experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, demanding environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Capability to work independently and within a team
  • Location: Onsite
  • Work Schedule: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years related experience working in a professional setting
  • Experience with Event Management System (EMS) Software
  • Hotel or IACC Certified Conference Center AV experience
  • Proficiency installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Audio DSPs (BIAMP, Clear One, Crestron)
  • Knowledge of ISDN/IP data networks, videoconferencing bridges, gateways, and cabling
  • Industry relevant training (CTS) or technical certifications
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • Excellent organizational and database management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with varying deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and in-room technical support to customers as requested
  • Set up, test, operate, and break down AV and VTC equipment for meetings and events
  • Manage proactive executive and high-profile meeting support
  • Respond to customer special requests and accommodate last-minute changes
  • Troubleshoot AV and VTC technology issues
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance checks on equipment
  • Execute and assist the Video Operations Center with videoconference setup, end user training, and issue escalation
  • Provide consultation and education to users on presentation technology
  • Take ownership of identified system faults and monitor resolution actions
  • Assist with room reservations and facility requests
  • Support furniture reconfiguration and equipment installation
  • Maintain AV/VTC inventory and develop standard documentation including tip sheets and SOPs
