About The Position

Since 1987, Participate Learning has partnered with schools and districts to prepare students for career success through cultural exchange, dual language programs, and global learning. We help students build bilingual fluency, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to apply their learning in real-world settings and any career path.

The AV Tech will assist the IT Team with the setup, installation, and maintenance of AV equipment and systems. They will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure that all events and meetings are equipped with the necessary AV equipment and that all equipment is functioning properly.

Requirements

• Knowledge of AV equipment and systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with video conferencing software and hardware is a plus
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be available for all the OT weeks and be able to travel to VA for OT.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Audio Visual Technology or a related field
• Passionate about learning and welcoming people from all over the world, learning about their culture and sharing your own culture and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IT Manager with equipment setup and installation for events and meetings
• Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment as needed
• Assist with the maintenance of AV equipment and systems
• Ensure that all AV equipment is properly labeled, stored, and documented
• Provide technical support for AV equipment and systems during events and meetings
• Stay up-to-date on new AV technology and equipment
