About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced AV Support Engineer to deliver technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for commercial audiovisual systems. This role works closely with the AV engineering team and service desk to diagnose issues, restore system functionality, and provide an exceptional customer support experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on AV professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working both remotely and in the field, and supporting a wide range of integrated audiovisual environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of audiovisual integration, field service, or technical support experience
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow, control systems, and conferencing technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
  • Familiarity with AV equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, Biamp, Shure, and similar systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  • Basic networking knowledge, including IP-based devices and protocols
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • CTS certification (AVIXA)
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Experience with Crestron programming or AV control systems
  • Technical education in electronics, IT, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage incoming AV support requests and service tickets
  • Provide initial troubleshooting remotely via phone or remote access tools
  • Travel to customer locations to diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues
  • Troubleshoot conferencing systems, video collaboration platforms, and AV control systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks
  • Install firmware updates, control programs, and system configurations
  • Support network-connected AV systems and devices
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, inspection, and performance optimization
  • Read and interpret system schematics, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings
  • Support field installation tasks including cable runs, connector terminations, and equipment mounting
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and project records
  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance when needed
  • Assist with mentoring junior technicians and supporting service team initiatives
  • Coordinate with project managers and leadership to ensure timely issue resolution
