TEKsystems is seeking a highly experienced AV Service Technician to support sophisticated enterprise environments across San Francisco. As an AV service technician, you’ll own the health and performance of complex AV environments—from executive boardrooms to enterprise collaboration spaces.

Requirements

  • 7–8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience
  • Deep hands‑on experience with Crestron and AMX
  • Strong commissioning, debugging, and diagnostic skills
  • Intermediate to advanced AV networking expertise
  • Advanced understanding of signal flow and low‑voltage concepts
  • Cabling expertise (Cat6, crimping, soldering, connectors)
  • Proficiency using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working independently in client‑facing environments
  • Ability to manage multiple service priorities without oversight
  • Own basic AV hand tools
  • Two‑year technical degree or equivalent real‑world experience
  • Minimum 3 years of field service experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in tight or elevated spaces
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

  • CTS certification (or actively pursuing)
  • Experience with AVoIP environments
  • Video wall and digital signage expertise
  • Leadership or mentoring experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and resolving advanced issues across Crestron and AMX control systems
  • Commissioning, debugging, and optimizing newly deployed AV solutions
  • Reverse‑engineering and modernizing legacy AV systems
  • Supporting enterprise video conferencing platforms (Cisco, Poly, Logitech)
  • Maintaining and tuning audio DSP systems (Biamp, QSC)
  • Supporting AV‑over‑IP networks, switching infrastructure, and signal flow
  • Servicing video walls and large‑format displays (Planar, LG, Samsung, Barco, Unilumen)
  • Performing preventative maintenance and detailed system assessments
  • Recommending equipment upgrades and long‑term solutions
  • Producing clean, professional service documentation
  • Acting as a trusted technical partner for enterprise clients
  • Mentoring junior and mid‑level technicians when needed
