About The Position

MCS is looking for an experienced AV (Audio and Visual Technologies) Sales Representative to join our team in our Tampa Bay area office. This person will actively seek out and engage prospective customers to sell AV products and/or services. The ideal candidate has experience in the AV industry providing solutions such as Video Walls, VTC Room setups, Collaboration and Conferencing (Teams, etc), and Signage solutions. Our compensation plan is designed to reward those who are results-driven, hungry for customer acquisition, and passionate about contributing to top-line revenue growth. Preference will be for candidates who have experience in the SLED (State and Local Education), Fed/DoD, Sports/Entertainment markets within Florida. MCS observes methodologies and systems to create successful Sales Partners, and seeks like-minded persons with a Drive and Focus that mesh with our Culture of Success. MCS is a Systems Integrator. We provide Sales Professionals a full portfolio of technologies and solutions to have in their "bag". We provide turnkey, in-house, capabilities for all elements of a complete AV deployment, including cabling, power, and installation. Our Operations Team for AV has Project Management, Installation, and Programming expertise. Sales is not expected to project manage and install.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience selling a product or service
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certifications
  • Excellent ability to manage and build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed acquisition goals
  • Advanced skills in communicating, selling and negotiating
  • Unrelenting drive to understand and meet prospective customer needs
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • experience in the SLED (State and Local Education), Fed/DoD, Sports/Entertainment markets within Florida

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate, promote, and sell MCS’s product lines and services - Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers... i.e, Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and BIAMP.
  • Develop and foster relationships - Maintain close communications with prospects to close sales and promote customer retention.
  • Meet and exceed targets - Achieve monthly and quarterly individual for new customer acquisition.
  • Track progress and results - Record prospect interactions and track goal attainment in CRM system.
  • Research and understand target market - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and MCS’s overall market opportunity.
