About The Position

We're looking for a resourceful, technically capable field technician to support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems integrated into medical patient simulator devices. This isn't traditional conference room AV you'll be working with networked medical training equipment, ensuring the AV components function properly so healthcare professionals can train effectively. This position requires Monday-Friday regional travel throughout the Northeast with weekends home. All travel expenses including mileage reimbursement, hotel, and meals are covered. You'll work independently at client sites including hospitals, medical training facilities, and educational institutions, solving problems on the fly and ensuring our technology works as intended.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of hands-on technical experience in one or more of the following: commercial AV, live event production, IT support, consumer electronics, or similar technical field roles
  • Solid understanding of AV signal flow, troubleshooting methodology, and basic networking concepts
  • Experience working independently in client-facing environments
  • Comfortable with Windows operating systems and basic computing fundamentals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for regional travel
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 lbs)

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+ or CTS certification
  • Experience with networked AV systems (Dante, AVB, or similar protocols)
  • Background in healthcare, education, or medical device environments
  • Military experience or other Background demonstrating discipline and adaptability

Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot AV components on patient simulator devices at client sites across the Northeast
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with monitors, audio systems, video feeds, and device connectivity
  • Work with networked systems and basic IP-based equipment to ensure proper device communication
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to end users on system functionality
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and client interactions
  • Adapt quickly to different client environments and technical challenges
  • Maintain high client satisfaction through professional, solution-focused service
