General Summary: The AV Engineer position has an in-depth working knowledge of the audio-visual industry and associated technologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Displays complete understanding of AV systems • Displays working knowledge of ADA requirements • Provides clients direction and recommendations for ADA requirements • Displays working knowledge of AVIXA design standards • Works with design AV solutions o Produces Bill of Materials (BOM) o Produces Statement of Work (SOW) o Produces sketches of designed solution • Provides design documentation to AV estimators for pricing and proposal creation • Reviews proposal when completed by estimator to ensure completeness and accuracy • Performs design reviews with AV engineering team • Attends AV opportunity bid reviews • Provides remote support for onsite installation technicians • Works with CAD team to ensure accuracy of project drawings • Works with WTS project managers to ensure equipment order requests are accurate prior to ordering equipment • Works with stage and config specialists to ensure completeness and accuracy of pre-installation processes • Works with AV programmers to ensure AV control and audio programming meets client requirements and follows SOW • Supports AV Field Engineers during commissioning • Responsible for project technical success from initial project discussions to commissioning and client training • Provides level 3 AV helpdesk support • Supports all AV teammates as subject matter expert • Attends AV tradeshows as SME
