Auxiliary Operator (Probationary)-Franklin Heating Station
About The Position
This position is in technical charge and responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of basement utility equipment but is subordinate to the Operator. Must have at least a Minnesota Special Engineer License. Individual will assist the Operator or Boiler Operator in time of need. Individual will not leave the basement or first floor area without permission of the Operator. Individual will make minor repairs and adjustments to auxiliary equipment. May leave the premises on plant business for short periods of time when assigned by Operator. Relief Assignment: The duties of Operating Unit personnel in a relief assignment will be to work shift or maintenance in any capacity necessary and to relieve members of the operating crew for vacation or illness as the need arises. The pay schedule will remain constant whether the employee works maintenance or shift relief. No replacement will be required for relief assignment employees when they are sick or on vacation.
