About The Position

We are currently looking for an Auxiliary Operator with previously setup drill press, broach, machining center, and lathes experience in order to produce parts to specifications. Examines blueprints or work order to determine finished specifications of parts. Loads material into machine for machining. Starts machine, observes operation, and verifies conformance of parts to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as gages, calipers, and micrometers.

Requirements

• Basic Computer Skills
• Ability to enter information into Vantage computer system
• Ability to use SPC
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift
• Interpret prints
• Ability to use micrometers
• Ability to use pin gages
• Ability to use drop indicators
• Must be able to follow directions from supervisor
• Safety minded at all times
• Basic reading and math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers

Responsibilities

• Operate Drill Press
• Operate Broach
• Operate Machining Center (Haas and Brother)
• Operate Hardinge Lathe
• Report production on basket tickets
• Load and unload material into machines
• Visual inspection of parts
• All other duties as assigned
