About the role Develop and execute the system validation strategy for one or more autonomy modules (perception, planning, prediction, localization) for L4 trucking. Build comprehensive test plans and specifications across testing modalities including simulation and real-world testing. Work closely with systems engineering teams on validation test plans to ensure completeness and coverage across ODD and behavior. Develop and implement strategies for analyzing real-world to measure performance and identify challenging and relevant events. Identify, develop and measure performance metrics and report on performance evaluation. Identify, build and deploy frameworks/pipelines to enable metric generation and evaluation. Trace identified metrics to the safety case tree. Support generation of the safety case and release recommendation reports.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• 2 years of experience in a scenario engineer or testing engineer role with an autonomous vehicle company
• 24 months of experience using Python, YAML, SQL, Jira, Confluence, Github, and Polarion
