As a Traveling Fleet Service Technician, you will be responsible for the triage, proactive monitoring, and comprehensive operational support of our diverse vehicle fleets deployed across Core Market, Market Entry, and specialized Weather testing environments. Your contributions will be instrumental in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues swiftly, minimizing downtime, and maximizing data collection from our test vehicles.   • Serve as the primary technical and service-related point of contact for all issues arising from vehicles operating within our Core Market, Market Entry, and Weather Test programs.
  • Perform initial diagnosis and comprehensive triage of reported vehicle issues, both remotely and potentially on-site.
  • Actively monitor vehicle health, performance data, and operational status across all assigned test fleets using advanced diagnostic tools and fleet management software.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with engineering teams, remote support personnel, and local field teams to ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of vehicle faults.
  • Provide regular, detailed updates and comprehensive reports to key internal stakeholders on test fleet health metrics and emerging issue trends.
  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities for continuous process improvements related to field service operations.
  • Lead or support the upfitting of vehicles for expanding markets.
  • Provide direct support to Owned & Operated (O&O) markets as needed.
  • Proven, extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and comprehensive fleet maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fleet management, field service coordination, or technical support lead role.
  • Strong understanding of complex vehicle systems, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Experience with Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of diagnostic tools and fleet management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 50% - 75% of the time.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and fleet management software.
