About The Position

As an Autonomous Vehicle/R&R Technician, you will handle both major and minor collision damage on autonomous vehicles operated by the AV Driver. The Technician will have a unique opportunity to provide high quality service on autonomous vehicles, while working with teammates in a positive atmosphere and growth environment. Pay Range is $37.00 to $60.00 per hour

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • I-CAR / ASE Certifications
  • At least five years' Auto Body / Collision experience
  • Automotive technical training
  • Must have tools
  • Must have a valid, in-state driver's license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Ability to operate an automobile.

Nice To Haves

  • PDR ability is a plus
  • Electric Vehicle experience, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
  • Document requested repairs and findings in a specialized service platform.
  • Communicates with Parts Department to obtain the needed parts
  • Perform all body and fender repairs
  • Parts replacement of bumpers and doors
  • Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Operating all equipment in the Service Center in a safe and productive manner, following AutoNation's Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor.
  • Maintain work area in an orderly and clean manner
  • Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Collaborating with and working alongside AutoNation associates, and partnering with teammates to improve processes and expedite workflow.
  • Keeping abreast of technical information and participating in offered training classes as appropriate.
  • Gaining superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.
