We’re currently looking for an Autonomous Systems Research Intern to join our team in May 2026. On our team, we focus on automatic validation of our perception, prediction, planning and controls subsystems. Our verification & validation system is required to use simulated, high-volume scenarios (weather, traffic, edge cases) to test algorithms efficiently. As a member of the Autonomous Systems team, you will get to research, develop and analyze algorithms to prove system behavior, using simulation and real-time auditing to validate performance. Requirements

• Currently be pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong C++ or python coding ability
• Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
• Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire; Nissan uses E-Verify to validate employment eligibility.
