About The Position

This role is for experienced Commercial drivers for an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, aiming to turn the company's vision into reality. The driver will ensure safety, maintain vehicle readiness, complete software and hardware tests, and act as an ambassador for the client's brand to the public. The position involves assisting and interacting with various teams across the company, including computer vision, infrastructure, sound design, strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations. The company seeks disciplined, team-oriented commercial drivers who will have the opportunity to learn vehicle and personnel operations, gain insight into the operational complexities of autonomous mobility, and contribute to the future of the industry.

Requirements

Possess a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
Experienced Commercial drivers
Disciplined, team players
Basic vehicle knowledge with a clean driving record
Comfortable driving for extended periods (4–8 hours per day)
No moving violations within the past 12 months, DUIs, or criminal record
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to follow detailed instructions and strict safety guidelines
Ability to work onsite in both Mountain View and San Francisco

Responsibilities

Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols
Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address any maintenance needs
Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection
Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs
Collaborate with engineers, providing valuable feedback to enhance system performance
Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage
Ensure safety
Maintain vehicle readiness
Complete software and hardware tests
Represent the client's brand as an ambassador to the public
Assist and interact with multiple teams across the company
