About The Position

This position requires an employee to maintain qualifications in 2 different classifications identified by management. The daily work requirements for this position will depend on the current business need, as directed by management. Requirements and schedule may change multiple times during the day, due to business conditions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in the automobile field (i.e., inspections, body/mechanic shop, etc.) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify damage, missing parts and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt.
  • Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
  • Provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition to support the processing and sale of client/customer consigned vehicles.
  • Conduct fluid level checks and evaluations.
  • Complete inspection process and data entry in appropriate time frames.
  • Take digital photos during the inspection process and write Internet Condition reports.
  • Ensure repair orders are completed correctly by maintaining knowledge of current rates, labor and parts charges.
  • Follow work instructions provided by client and/or Manheim Inspections.
  • Conduct OVE courtesy walk around inspections.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including locating and moving vehicles.
  • Set up and maintain auction site image booth and/or standard imaging area.
  • Transfer completed images into vehicle condition report format.
  • Ensure that all standard required photos are taken and uploaded.
  • Perform self-audits to ensure that images meet required quality standards.
