About The Position

Veero Ford & CDJR of Morris is looking for an experienced Used Car Technician to support our growing pre-owned and fleet reconditioning operations. This role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing used vehicles to ensure they meet our safety standards before reaching the retail lot. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (used-car or recon experience preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to inspect, evaluate, and repair all major vehicle systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Team-oriented mindset and professional attitude

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Ford and/or Stellantis systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate incoming used and fleet vehicles
• Perform diagnostics on mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete repair work, maintenance, and reconditioning tasks
• Ensure all safety and quality standards are met before retail sale
• Document all repairs clearly and accurately on repair orders
• Communicate findings and repair needs with Service Advisors
• Perform road tests and confirm repair accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Follow dealership processes for used-car reconditioning and workflow
• Support the team with additional service work as needed
