About The Position

Sheehy Ford of Warrenton is looking for an Upgrade Specialist to join our team. As the Upgrade Specialist, you will manage vehicle acquisitions and customer upgrades while delivering exceptional service in the service lane. In this role, you'll interact with both sales and service customers, leveraging our data mining system to identify opportunities and collaborating with sales managers to meet profit goals and ensure customer satisfaction. With a proven track record of success, you will help achieve targets in a fun, engaging environment focused on building customer loyalty. You will offer every service drive customer options for selling or trading their vehicle, and assist in facilitating a smooth transition to our sales departments. You don't need to have automotive sales experience to be successful in this role, you should have experience providing exceptional customer service, and any previous business development experience is always a plus.

Requirements

  • Sales experience or experience in customer service such as retail, restaurant, call center setting, etc., is preferred but not required (sales training provided)
  • Ability to learn data mining tools and software (eLeads experience a plus!)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships
  • Ability to understand timeliness and organization and the ability to accept coaching
  • Driven, competitive, and willing to work in a team environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA with a valid, clean, and non-suspended driver's license
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Utilize existing customer base with data mining tools to identify opportunities for vehicle upgrades
  • Work with the Used Car Manager to identify current vehicle needs
  • Meet and greet customers in the service drive to present Cash Offers for their vehicles
  • Use strong decision-making and active listening skills to think progressively about customer needs and service
  • Educate customers on the options available through Vehicle Exchange
  • Upload vehicles and customer information into our appraisal software and assist the used car manager with pricing appraisals
  • Be a liaison to customers while their car is being serviced
  • Follow up with each opportunity for future considerations
  • Demonstrating knowledge and enthusiasm for vehicles and services
  • Deliver vehicles to customers while confirming customers understanding of vehicle features to build customer relationships and dealership loyalty
  • Meet with the management team regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis
  • Be outgoing, friendly, energetic, and professional with excellent customer service, attentiveness, and follow-up skills
