About The Position

Airport Marina Ford is actively seeking an experienced Transmission Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions across multiple makes and models, with a focus on Ford vehicles. This position is essential to maintaining the high level of service our customers expect and trust.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in transmission diagnostics and repair
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must pass background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

Ford certification or manufacturer-specific training preferred

Responsibilities

Diagnose transmission issues accurately using diagnostic tools and test drives
Disassemble, inspect, repair, or replace defective transmission parts and systems
Perform transmission services including fluid changes, flushes, filter replacements, and reseals
Road test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation
Communicate with service advisors and other technicians about recommended repairs
Keep a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures
Stay current with Ford training programs and technical bulletins
