About The Position
Best Western Transmission is seeking an Automotive Transmission Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting transmissions and drive trains, running diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues, and conducting repairs aimed at maximizing reliability. This position requires a strong commitment to health and safety guidelines, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve reported problems in a timely manner. In this role, you will perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems, ensuring that all components are clean and lubricated. You will also be responsible for replenishing fluids and components of engines and machinery, and undertaking other duties as assigned, such as the repair of hydraulic systems. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, allowing for a work-life balance with no nights or weekends required. We are looking for candidates who have proven experience as a mechanic, with excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components. An aptitude for using various hand tools and precision measurement tools, such as calipers, is essential. The ability to follow established procedures and read instructions and blueprints is also important. A high school diploma or GED is required, and certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a definite plus. Valid ASE certification is preferred, and candidates must possess a valid driver's license.
