Requirements

  • 3+ years Automotive Title processing experience required.
  • Experience supervising or leading staff preferred.
  • Must demonstrate professional communication skills.
  • Convey ideas and information both written and in person.
  • Must maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all that we do.
  • Demonstrate high character and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly internal and external customer service.
  • Maintain effective team member relations.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations.

  • Experience supervising or leading staff preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily functions of the title processing team including, but not limited to, the following areas.
  • Vehicle payoffs through title/office specialist team members
  • Purchase and vehicle set up through title/office specialist team members.
  • Intercompany transfers.
  • Maintaining the GL accounts related to the title team
  • Vehicle Lien Payoffs
  • Wholesale Vehicle Accounts
  • License & Registration Fees
  • Sales Tax related to titles
  • Process and send/sell all wholesale sales through the department.
  • Process Broker/Fleet deals, including fees, CULA, and purchases.
  • Process payoffs for BMW stores.
  • Duplicate titles.
  • Refund checks on tax-related items.
  • Title Liens
  • Respond to or assist with escalated Titling questions or concerns received from customers, lenders, and other Schomp employees
  • Follow through on any unperfected liens and legal issues.
  • Comply with local and state payments to the DMV for title processing.
  • Responsible for daily supervision of staff; set objectives and goals.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop staff; regularly meet with staff to review objectives, performance, concerns and feedback.
