Requirements

  • 3+ years job related experience. Automotive background & technical experience.
  • Technical training in vehicle testing or engineering field of Automotive.
  • 3+ years' experience in Engineering level vehicle testing.
  • Engineering experience in Manufacturing / Vehicle testing environment.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic.
  • Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written.
  • Computer savvy - skilled in use of software / Engineering tools (ALPOS, ATP, VDS).
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Integration - joining people, processes or systems.
  • Problem solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Detailed reporting competencies at an engineering level.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and communicate to various staff members the current and future updated testing requirements.
  • Track and monitor all testing requirements based on a 'proof of performance' tracking factor.
  • Writing vehicle complaints. Ensure all necessary vehicle complaint attachments are included.
  • Monitor vehicle complaints within the ticket reporting system.
  • Assist with queries and issuing rechecks as needed.
  • Responsible to ensure that special testing requirements can be activated based on vehicle equipped systems.
  • Gather all required testing information to share with all test locations.
  • Participate in meetings with different Engineers, Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator personnel regarding testing needs for vehicles are met.
  • Provide the Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator with updated testing requirements.
  • Guide the communication process between the Location Coordinator and/or Driver Coordinator to report testing concerns to the Testing and Engineering Specialist.
  • Assist the Location Coordinator and Driver Coordinator in reporting complaints by the drivers and appropriate follow-up (missing data, information, etc.).
  • Assisting and entering complaints into the ticket reporting system.
  • Consistent communication with Station Coordinator(s) and Driver Coordinator(s) to make sure that complaints are entered in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all necessary testing information follows the vehicle rotations to other testing stations.
  • Assisting with addressing queries and issuing rechecks when more information is requested by creating forms and sending them to the applicable Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator.
  • Common understanding that some queries can be answered best by personnel on site at the locations.
  • Ability to work on and maneuver around vehicles.
  • Assisting with coordinating vehicle scheduling as required.
  • Ensure special tests requests are available for each vehicle. I.E., vehicle equipped to fully function the defined special test.
  • Contacting responsible engineer if assigned special test is missing from the vehicle options.
  • Assist with special test KPI tracking.
  • Spend time in test vehicles to thoroughly understand all vehicle systems in an in-depth manner.
  • Maintain special testing instructions that are not clear or need to be modified.

  • Salary Range: $35.00 - $37.00 Hourly.
  • Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week.
  • Hybrid role aligning two stations in different US regions.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, and hours outside of normal demands, including weekends and Holidays.
